interior goodness: stunning brooklyn brownstone of frencesca connolly

This week's home makes me squeal...a lot!  The home of one of the Remodelista founders, Francesca Connelly.  Architect Steven Harris and interior designer Lucien Rees Roberts.

The home just has an amazing vibe; cool, glam and oh so livable. Being that it is a Brownstone from the 1890's, it started off with great bones. This brings me to a serious peeve that I have with "new homes", they have absolutely no character. Builders would be smart to build of the premises of older homes be it a Brownstone or a 50's California Ranch, quality and style over quantity and size...

Yes, Brownstones have high ceilings, but they are just that, ceilings.  They are flat.  They can be adorned with gorgeous lighting or accessorized with fabulous molding...unlike the monstrosity that is known as the cathedral ceiling, ridiculous angles of waisted space where heat hides.  Yeah, I don't like them!  Come on builders, get it together.
