why i think the Rockies should drop the purple, by tamara conrad a Rockies fan

Now that the Rox are finished at home and the 2014 season will be coming to a close after they beat the Dodgers on Sunday 9/28 in L.A., I can now turn my attention towards other pressing matters like changing the the Rockies purple.  I get that the team was named "the Rockies" after our majestic Rocky Mountains, "purple mountain majesty".  I love our mountains, but I'm sure the other states and country that share the Rocky Mountain range feel the same way.

I suppose my biggest reason for wanting to change the color is the fact that there are so many different "official" purples, as shown below.

Even the official purple player jersey is a different purple than the bill of the official player hat.  I'm a stylist, color continuity is a peeve of mine.  Yes, changing the color that has been around since 1993 is a big step, but other teams have done it.  On a personal side note, I love the Rockies, I do not in any way love the color purple.  I realize there are a lot of people, translation; women, that love purple and they probably want to burn me at the stake right now, but stay with me...

What color do I propose the Rockies change to, Blue Spruce!

The Blue Spruce is the Colorado State Tree and it resides in the Rocky Mountains. A key, symbolic trait of trees is strength. The Rockies have strength and then some. After a difficult season, they never gave up, they remained strong. They are also enormously strong on defense and offense, with non Blue Spruce sticks of wood.  Coors Field is already outfitted with a lot of Blue Spruce; the seats, the padding on the outfield walls, the batter's eye, and the steel beams.

I would also change the "home white" to "home cream".  It is awesomely nostalgic for a team playing the professional sport that has been around since 1846.

Okay, I got that out of my system, GO ROCKIES!

yes to blueberries face & neck oil

As a member of the Allure Beauty Enthusiasts, I was super excited to try
Yes to Blueberries Face & Neck Oil earlier this summer.  I am already a big fan of the
Yes to Blueberries Towelettes, and now I am a super big fan of the oil!

The oil is 98% natural.  Free of parabens, petroleum and cruelty.  The oil base is made up of intensely moisturizing as well as vitamin rich safflower, sesame, sunflower, avocado, apricot, argan, macadamia, jojoba, blackberry and passion fruit seed (maracuja) oils and of course the awesome antioxidant blueberry extract.

I use the oil twice a day.  I spritz my face with Mario Badescu Facial Spray, or my own creation of coconut water with hibiscus and lavender, then I massage three drops of oil from my neck on up to my hairline.  The oil absorbs very well.  I take care of my skin, no major issues, but after using Yes to Blueberries Oil, my glow is almost blinding!
